Kirk Leff

Kirk grew up in Central Florida and played sports from little league through high school. While in Jr. High, Kirk accepted Jesus as his Savior at a youth camp in North Carolina.  In high school Kirk became involved in FCA.  He saw and continues to see the impact this ministry has on athletes, their friends, their families, their communities, and their future. 

Kirk and his wife Ruth met while working together at Disney in the late 1970’s.  They have been married for 42 years and have two children.  Jamie and her husband Patrick live in New Hampshire.  Jamie is a PhD Marine Biologist working with the New England Fisheries Council.  Patrick is a craftsman who works on cars and restores mid-century furniture.  Jerod and his wife Meixuan live in Milwaukee and just became parents with the birth of their daughter Amelia Evelyn on March 29, 2022.  Jerod is a Pediatric Dentist with Paramount Pediatric Dentistry serving Southeastern Wisconsin and Meixuan is a nurse working at Aurora West Allis Medical Center.

Kirk is passionate about servant leadership.  From his first job at Disney (1976-80) through management roles with both Perkins Restaurants and Gooding's Supermarkets in the 80’s, Kirk has always been focused on the experience of others he served.  In April of 1989 Kirk joined McLane Company at their distribution center in Kissimmee. On that first day in April, Kirk knew this was where God wanted him to spend his career.  From that day forward, Kirk and Ruth began what became an incredible journey for the next 29 years.  Kirk started as a Deli Fast Food Merchandiser servicing stores in FLorida and retired as part of the senior staff of McLane Company overseeing all US based operations.  Kirk & Ruth’s journey took them from Orlando, to Longmont, Colorado; to Bow, New Hampshire; to Tacoma, Washington; to Syracuse, New York; to Temple, Texas.  He held roles as Area Sales Manager, Retail Merchandising Services Manager, VP of Divisional Sales, VP of Divisional Operations, Senior VP of McLane Western, Senior VP of McLane NE Concord, President of McLane Northwest, President of McLane Northeast, Vice President of Corporate Business Development, Vice President of Corporate Sales and Marketing.   

Ruth worked for 20 years at Disney followed by 20 years as a public school teacher in Seminole and Orange County, as well as Colorado, New Hampshire, New York, and Texas.

Upon retirement, Kirk served for three years as the COO of Northland Church in Logwood.

Kirk has served various board positions including with Zion Lutheran Church and School, Liverpool Community Church, Update Medical Foundation (NY), Florida Petroleum Marketers Association, New York Association of Convenience Stores, and National Association of Convenience Stores.  Kirk is an inductee of the New York Association of Convenience Stores Hall of Fame. 

Kirk and Ruth live in Belle Isle, Florida where they continue to follow God’s call to serve others.
